GREATER ORLANDO CHAPTER 73
“Take time to deliberate, but when the time for action comes, stop thinking and go in.”
― Napoleon Bonaparte
The time for action has come after much deliberation and planning, our Board has decided to move forward with a hybrid membership meeting in August with the health and welfare of our members and/or participants and guests in mind. The hybrid membership meeting will allow up to 45 in-person attendees and make the meeting available to members virtually (please check our website in the coming week for further details and safety measures/requirements). We urge members to attend in whichever capacity they feel most comfortable.
I look forward to seeing you all soon and providing a chapter summary of our year. Please show your appreciation for this year's committee chairs and leadership by reaching out to them with an attagirl! Let's be sure to encourage and uplift our incoming Board of Directors as President-Elect, Nancy Massingill, leads us into a year of recovery and rebuilding during these unprecedented times.
Thank you for allowing me to be your chapter President. Although this year threw us all a curve ball ... this pandemic has taught me how to lead in "deliberate calm" and learn how to incorporate virtual engagement into our chapter. I hope that we continue to build on this as just another means to empower women throughout the construction industry.
Thanks again and stay safe!
