National Association of Women in Construction
GREATER ORLANDO CHAPTER 73
The Value of a NAWIC Membership
For more than 55 years, NAWIC has helped women take advantage of the opportunities in construction.
Whether you want to embark on a new career, establish a networking base, be a mentor/mentee, make a difference in your community, continue your education, or invest in great friendships, NAWIC offers a variety of opportunities; large and small.
Whatever position you hold you you will get out what you put in and you can expect great value from your investment
The Orlando Chapter is a diverse group of women from a variety of fields; including architectural, general contracting, subcontracting, material suppliers, engineering, construction trade associations, lawyers, small business owners, and many others that supply support services for the construction industry.
At the Chapter level we have monthly events with informative speakers and opportunities to network with peers.
At the Regional level we have fall and spring conferences, and nationally an annual convention and continuing educations programs.
It’s great for building relationships within the industry and advancing both personal and professional growth. There are many leadership opportunities and ways to get involved with committees or the board.
Our monthly membership meetings feature networking with other women in the industry, workshops & speakers, legislative & legal updates, technical & product information and OSHA updates.
Other Member Benefits include:
In addition, all NAWIC chapters have their own Board of Directors elected annually by the membership. Every active member has the opportunity to serve if they choose. It's a great way to grow your leadership skills and be a part of a sisterhood of purpose.
