DACG, Inc., a successful Florida company in business for 9 years, is seeking a Junior level Estimator.

The Junior Estimator will be responsible for providing full estimating and proposal preparation for all types of construction, primarily in education, concrete and demolition.


    • Degree in Engineering, Construction Estimating or related fields are preferred, but will substitute degree for solid experience.
    • 3-5 years’ experience in cost estimating and cost control as a General Contractor and Scopes such as Concrete, Demolition and earthwork.
    • Strong computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, On-Screen Take-off, and Viewpoint (Procontractor, Maxwell, Quest) estimating (or equivalent).
    • Very important to be able to work under pressure and maintain calm while working on several different projects.
    • Self-driven and organized.

Job Functions:

    • Develop and maintain client and vendor contacts and relationships.
    • Responsible for providing preconstruction services including conceptual estimates, bid estimates, bid packages and clarifications.
    • Prepare quantity take-offs.
    • Manage buy-out process.
    • Following an award of a project, set-up and coordinate the official hand-over to the project execution team.
    • Prepare budget for project by properly categorizing costs and monitor those costs throughout project life by comparing and adjusting estimating costs vs. actual costs (i.e., production rates, cost of materials, etc.)
    • Assist Project Manager in addressing RFI’s, RFP’s and Change Order Requests.
    • Provide Value Engineering input during design and construction.
    • Ensure all documentation is maintained to support estimate figures.
    • Validate estimates (including the ones done by PMs) through risk reviews, management reviews, and past performance.

Procurement Specialist


Commercial millwork shop looking for a full-time CAD technician to draw and create Standard Drawings, both 2D and 3D, to work from our office in Haines City, Florida. The ideal candidate would have a strong understanding of architectural drawings and interior design, good work ethics, and be able to understand and communicate with construction terminology. Basic knowledge of Google SketchUp and the ability to create and export DXF will be necessary. Additionally, cabinet construction knowledge is a must and experience with Cabinet Vision Software (Solid 9.0 or newer), 2020 or similar would be helpful. Extra training on Cabinet Vision is offered.

Successful candidates will have:

  • Previous experience supervising Construction Projects.
  • Must have ability to read and review plans and specifications associated with the project, and understand Flooring Construction process.
  • Successful candidates will be assigned to projects such as retail, educational, office, warehouse, and other fast-track commercial construction projects and will have overall responsibility for planning, directing and coordinating everything associated with the flooring phase of a field construction project.
  • Superintendents are required to perform complex analytical work for commercial construction projects ensuring compliance with all current codes, processes and criteria.
  • Coordinate all subcontractors and suppliers on the project.
  • Enforce safety protocol on the project at all times.
  • Complete material take-offs and order materials and equipment when necessary.
  • Enforce the schedule with all subcontractors and supplies.
  • Coordinate with client representatives and inspectors involved with the project.
  • Enforce cleanliness on the job site with all participating in the project.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with employees, contractors, consultants, and the general public; ability to compile daily comprehensive reports.

  • Physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs and ladders; walk the job-site throughout the day and negotiate work areas under construction. Employees may occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 125 pounds.


  • Two (2) years of experience as a Superintendent in the Commercial Construction Industry is preferred.
  • Must have a current valid driver’s license and means of transportation.

Precon/Project Intern

  • A supportive role that will contribute to both spheres of project estimating and project management. This unique opportunity will give those with construction related backgrounds the ability to dabble in both areas to help them better determine where they would like their career paths to go. They may be better adapt at price negotiations, relationship management, and drawing/spec analysis, which will gear them towards estimating. They may be better at organization and coordinating manufacturing leads and delivery, labor management, and contract doc controls, making them better suited for project management by performing low-risk tasks that supports these existing roles, interns will gain some hands on experience and exposure to both areas.
  • Rates range from $12/hr-$15/hr depending on prior experience and education in this field.
  •  Part-time hours with flexibility to accommodate school schedules if needed.
  • Internships last for 4-6 months, depending  on current work cycle of the company and requirements of educational institutions should this internship qualify them for education credits.

Boyer Building Corporation is currently seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Commercial Construction Superintendent position for its office in Orlando, Florida.  

The Senior Construction Project Manager shall ensure that projects are planned, coordinated and completed in a safe, timely, efficient, effective and profitable manner. The Senior Construction Project Manager is responsible for ensuring all aspects related to his or her projects. Job activities will include interactions with client, client representatives, construction superintendents and subcontracted trades. Organization skills and ability to manage multiple projects are critical to be successful in this position.


  • Lead and manage project teams including superintendents, project coordinators, subcontractors and others to ensure all work is completed safely, on time, within budget and in accordance with contract agreements
  • Manage all aspects of the project during the construction phase including safety, contracts, submittals, RFI’s, planning and budget management and estimates for projects
  • Monitor and maintain the project schedule including interaction with subcontractors, material suppliers and other vendors
  • Competitively procure materials, equipment and subcontracts. Perform a detailed review of the bids received to enable the buyout of the project at or below the amount(s) in the original estimate.
  • Ensure pre-task planning for safety, coordination, and quality control is being properly performed on the project
  • Provide oversight, direction, and coordination in the collection of data for any alleged bodily injury / property damage incident related to the project.
  • Identify, document and discuss with the Owner all Change Requests in a timely manner. Monitor pending Change Request Log to ensure that Change Requests have been resolved in a timely manner
  • Approve all subcontractor and supplier invoices prior to the project billing cut- off date while verifying the amount and cost-code to be charged
  • Complete project close-out documents and ensure punch list is completed in a timely manner
  • Provide strong leadership and guidance to field and site superintendents.
  • Create project schedules and product ordering deadlines to ensure a timely construction and turnover
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationship with the project owners, architects, engineers, clients and others to ensure overall client satisfaction
  • Coordinate and obtain necessary permits required for commencement of construction, review design documents for conflicts and completeness and participate in developing/negotiating contract agreements
  • Monitor contractor performance; insure adherence to terms and conditions of agreements.
