GREATER ORLANDO CHAPTER 73
The National Association of Women In Construction - NAWIC Greater Orlando Chapter would like to invite your company to become a Corporate Sponsor for the 2017- 2018 membership year. Join other companies who value the relationships NAWIC builds with fellow companies in the construction industry and our community along with the education, empowerment and mentoring programs our Chapter offers.
Our Chapter was chartered in 1962 and includes members from Orange, Seminole, Lake, Osceola, and Brevard Counties. We pride ourselves on our unique education programs, scholarship opportunities, and expansive community involvement. Your sponsorship will help us continue those traditions this year.
The education arm of NAWIC, the NAWIC Education Foundation (NEF), not only works with local schools to introduce children to the construction industry starting in kindergarten, but goes all the way through adult continuing education. NEF programs include Block Kids Building Block Competition for grades K-6 and CAD Drafting Competition. NEF also provides self-study certification programs for professional women with Construction Industry Technician (CIT), Construction Document Specialist (CDS) 2 part exam, and Construction Bookkeeping Technician (CBT).
Each year our Chapter also hosts a Construction Career Camp for high school girls with multiple local school districts. Our camp held in Seminole County began in 2010 and was such a hit that Orange County Public Schools contacted NAWIC in 2015 to host one on their campus. Girls leave the camp with increased confidence and with the knowledge of potential career options that are available.
We hope you will join us as we build relationships, educate and empower our members and future generations of construction industry workers. Thank you for your time and generosity.
